Hi, I am Abhinav Gupta

I am an Assistant Professor in Finance at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Business School. 

I completed my Ph.D. in Finance from NYU Stern. Prior to graduate school, I worked in management consulting. I hold a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering (President’s Silver Medal) from IIT Kharagpur, and an M.B.A. (Institute Gold Medal) from IIM Ahmedabad.

My research interests lie in empirical corporate finance with a focus on entrepreneurial finance, and private equity. I am especially interested in understanding how these topics interact with those in the broader economics discipline such as labor, and healthcare.
